Ballin Temple is the perfect all-round destination for a holiday in the Irish countryside. With self-catering cottages, woods, river, mountain-biking trails, yoga and more, there is something to do for everyone. It is ideal for a romantic rendez-vous, a healthy break, touring or an active weekend. Nestled in nature with views of Mount Leinster and the River Slaney at the edge of our woods, we are located in an area of outstanding natural beauty only 80 km from Dublin or 60 km Rosslare. 52.727768, -6.687927.

Fishing: Many beats are virtually closed in 2012.  The Eastern Region Fisheries Board has more information here.  Our beat will be closed, except by special permission and for resident guests.  But the river walk and woods remain one of the most beautiful places to be.

For a bit of fun, here's a little video of mountain biking through the woods.

Or another one: Oh not again ...! here.

Holiday Cottages: We are recommended by Linda Moss's Organic Places to Stay, the Great Fishing Houses of Ireland, Responsible Travel and Sustainable Tourism Ireland.  Ballin Temple appears in the Sawday's Green Places to Stay, Sawday's Ireland Guide and the Sawday's website.  Read what Alastair Sawday writes about Ballin Temple here.
